About

Ahava Films is a wedding cinematography company that specializes in Jewish wedding cinematography / videography.  Since 2005, we have been servicing clients in Los Angeles, Irvine, San Diego, and Southern California.  We are now providing our wedding cinematography services in Israel, from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, from the Negev and Eilat all the way up to the Golan Heights and the Galilee.

Jewish weddings are an incredible experience as they essentially fuse two souls into one, marking the beginning of the bride and grooms’ new life together. And the power that enables this melding is none other than love, or in Hebrew, ”Ahava.”

Ahava can also be translated to mean “giving,” which is a crucial component of love…being able to give to another.

In Hebrew, every letter has a numerical value. When the four letters of the word “Ahava” are added up, they total 13. (Alef = 1, Hay= 5, Vet=2, and Hay=5)  Not surprisingly, another word that adds up to 13 is the Hebrew word for one, “Echad.”

Love is about two soul mates becoming one, a unification that is actualized on the auspicious occasion of a wedding.

If I look back, the seed for Ahava Films was planted when I met the love of my life just after graduating from the USC film school. Our wedding was the highlight of both of our lives, and when the party was over, all we had were the memories. Fortunately, the event was well preserved, and with the video in hand, we have been able to re-live that special moment for many years.

It’s hard for me to express how important this video is to us. Not only the imagery, but the sounds of the day, the speeches, the laughter, the tears of joy, and the heartfelt well-wishes; emotions that our photos can only dream of conveying.

After videotaping a friend’s wedding in 2005, I realized how passionate I was about producing wedding films. Officially launched in 2008, I am proud to have a company dedicated to producing wedding films that are moving, enchanting, and eternal.

While Ahava Films specializes in Jewish wedding videography, we have a sister company for Mitzvah videography (www.famedia.net) and another one for corporate / non-profit promotional videos (www.jankovicproductions.com).

We look forward to serving you and capturing your memories.
